in Public Provident Fund (PPF). You can choose either to invest a fixed amount every
year in your PPF account, or invest varying amounts every year.
The rate of interest on your PPF account is now market linked.
As per Government rules, your PPF account will give you 0.25% more than the rate of interest on the 10 Year G-Sec Bond.
Historically, the 10 year G Sec bond has given interest of approximately 7.50% to 8% per annum.
Based on this, the PPF interest rate that we have assumed going forward is 8% for the upcoming years.
